The informational event "Students with Children" arose from the "Freie Universität with Children" working group. It is held annually, at the start of every semester. Employees of the Dual Career & Family Service, the Student Records and Registration Office, the social advising service, and the nursery school operated by the Studierendenwerk Berlin student union as well as the University Sports Center and the Center for Academic Advising and Psychological Counseling introduce themselves and provide information on organizing a study program (preferential registration for seminars, semesters spent on leave, part-time studies and attendance obligations), financing a study program, family sports options, childcare vouchers, and allocation of childcare placements.
